My Goal For Tonight

I love rugelach. It's one of my favorite cookies/pastries. Such an amazing little sweet. However, I can almost NEVER find it locally, and trying to buy it through mail order tends to leave me ordering flavors I don't want/like and/or paying through the nose.

So, tonight I decided to just... make it myself. XD

I have the dough (8 dozen's worth) chilling in the fridge now. I have both my fillings prepared (raspberry-walnut and chocolate-walnut). Now, I'm just waiting that hour it has to chill before attacking it and making a dozen of each flavor. Assuming it goes well, I will make a dozen raspberry for my Mum for Mother's Day, gifting it to her when I see her Thursday. I'll also make a dozen chocolate to gift to Christine.

I'll be in Tampa Thursday for an appointment with Dr. G and an appointment with Christine. I should be home by about 7pm, maybe earlier. I hate losing a whole day when Kris and I could be working on something, but it must be done. At least we'll have the evening and part of the morning (as we aren't leaving until noon).

I've been messing around a bit over on Dreamwidth, and I even created a community. I'll see how well it does. :)

comments
